MINISSHA LAMBA - Film Actress

Minisha Lamba born 18 January 1985 was born in the New Delhi-based Punjabi speaking Sikh family consisting of her dad Kewal, mom Manju, and brother Karan. She did her schooling at Chettinad Vidyashram, in Chennai & as well as from Srinagar's Army School,  . In 2004, she majored in English with honours from Miranda House, University of Delhi.

She got her first break unexpectedly, when she was auditioning for a Cadbury commercial in Delhi. Bollywood Director, Shoojit Sircar, approached her and signed her to to act "Yahaan (2005)'. She has subsequently changed her first name to Minissha.

Lamba's long term ambition was to become a journalist. While studying for a degree in Delhi, she was offered to represent ad campaigns like LG, Sony, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk etc. She has played supporting and leading roles in films such as Corporate, Rocky: The Rebel, Anthony Kaun Hai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Anamika, Shaurya and Dus Kahaniyaan. In 2008, she acted in Bachna Ae Haseeno- her biggest success so far. Same year she was noticed for her bold role in Kidnap. Her next major role was in Shyam Benegal film Well Done Abba (2010).

Her other movies include Shaurya, Anamika, Bheja Fry 2, Hum Tum Shabana, Joker, Zilla Ghaziabad & Hungame pe Hungama.

She has also acted in a Kannada and Punjabi film Kontract & Heer & Hero respectively.

She has also appeared in the music video for Himesh Reshammiya's song Tera Surroor from the album Aap Kaa Surroor which became very popular.
