Meera Nandan (born Meera
Nandakumar on 26 November 1990) was born in Kerala on 1st March, 1989. Her
father Nanda Kumar is a Bank Manager, and mother Maya housewife. She has one
brother Arjun. She did her schooling in Bhavan's
Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, near Elamakkara temple. She is currently
studying at Presidency College. When she was at school, she has shown extra
ordinary talent in dance and music.
She started her career in 2007 by co-hosting the popular
reality-based singing competition Idea Star
Singer on Asianet Television with Ranjini Haridas. Her first
appearance before the camera was in an advertisement for pickle.
She made her film debut in Malayalam cinema the following
year, playing the female lead in Mulla.
Her
other movies in Malayalam include Currency, Puthiya Mukam, Kerala Café,
Seniors, Swapna Sanchari, Mallu Singh, Madarasi, Kadal Kadannoru Mathukkutty etc.
She has acted in a few Telegu movies
like Jai Bolo Telangana, 4th Degree & in Tamil movies like Valmiki, Ayyanar,
Kadhalukku Maranamillai, Suriya Nagaram
She is about to enter Kannanda filmdom
with movies like Karodpathi & Nannu Nam Hudugi
After school,
Meera hopes to enrol for a bachelor’s degree in Communicative English in an
effort to juggle commitments on the academic and professional fronts.
