NIVEDITA BHATTACHARYA – TV/Film Actress

Nivedita Bhattacharya – was born on 21st July 1970 in Lucknow.  She started with theatre very early with Bengali drama festivals during Durga Puja celebrations. Nivedita soon moved to Hindi amateur and professional theatre and did several plays with Surya Mohan Kulshreshtha (director BNA), Dr. Anil Rastogi, Urmil Kumar Thapaliyal.

She has performed at international theatre festivals in Norway and Finland (Bhagwadaajjukeeyam) which won many awards. She was the only Indian actress invited by the FIASKO theatre group to perform the Finnish version of the same play. She did approximately 500 untiring, inspiring shows of the popular play ALL THE BEST in Hindi with Feroze Khan which trotted the globe to Singapore, Dubai, London (UK), apart from touring all over India.

Pandit Satyadev Dubey gave her an opportunity to learn from him and also the joy of performing with Naseeruddin Shah in the play “Antigone”. It is the prolific Makrand Deshpande with whom she has worked the most in theatre. Joke, Karodon Mein Ek, Dude Bhagawaan Zinda Hai, among few others. All performed at Prithvi Theatre where she is a regular.

She did several Television shows...Kundali, Kartavya, Margarita, Kahin Kisi Roz, Saat Phere, Gunaahon Ka Devta, Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein... To name a few. Also acted in few one hour stories ... Last Train To Mahakali by Anurag Kashyap being one of them.

To her credit are feature films “Sona Spa”, an art house flick directed by Makrand Deshpand and “Darr@The Mall” directed by Pawan Kirpalani.

Nivedita Bhattacharya is married to talented and renowned actor Kay Kay Menon and is passionate about her work. She has been actively supporting educating girl child in India.
