NEETHU – Film Actress

Neethu  Shetty – was born on 2nd September 1986. She started her career by acting in a Kannada TV serial titled Punya. She acted in superhit movie Joke falls, Gaalipata and Krishna, Nee Late Aagi Baro. She has also acted with mohanlal in the malayalm movie - [Photographer]. Her recent release “ Yogaraj“  with actor Naveen Krishna, saw her win a lot of critical acclaim for her sensitive performance.

Known to be a sensitive and natural actor Neethu has acted in over 20 movies. Her portrayal of Deyi Baidhyethi in the tulu movie KOTI-CHENNAIAH won her the prestigious State Award for the best supporting actress. She gained wide recognition and won a lot of accolades for her role as that of a tomboy in the superhit movie 'Galipata'. She was also praised by the critics for sensitively portraying the role of an orphan girl named Sihi in the movie 'Yogaraj...But' After the moderate success of 'Yogaraj...But' the talented pair of Naveen and Neethu have completed major portions of another Kannada film 'Jeevana Joke.. Alli'. As a versatile actor neethu has excelled in various roles be it as that of superstar Mohanlal's wife in the Malayalam movie 'Photographer' or as that of a tomboy in 'Galipata'. She has also done a very glamorous role in the movie 'Krishna, Nee Late Aagi Baro' which is directed by Mohan Shankar (actor) and starring himself, Ramesh Aravind and Nidhi Subbaiah. Her movie with Ramesh Arvind - 'Joke Falls' completed 180 days in PVR and was the first Kannada movie to do so giving it cult status. Currently she is a participant in the popular reality show Bigg Boss Kannada 2.
