THULASI NAIR – Film Actress
Thulasi Nair _ (born 1992) she is the daughter of
Tamil actress Radha Nair of Alaigal Oivathillai fame and her husband R S Nair. She has a brother Vignesh Nair.
Her sister Karthika Nair has also debut in Tamil and Malayalam movies. She was raised
in Mumbai, where her parents run a chain of restaurants.
She was all of
16 and in Class 10, when she was signed on by Film Director Mani Ratnam for his
Tamil romantic-drama "Kadal". In
"Kadal", she is cast opposite another debutant Gautham Karthik, son
of yesteryears Tamil actor Karthik. It is
interesting to note that their parents Radha and Karthik made their debut
together in Alaigal Oivathillai. The movie is also written and produced by
Ratnam. it also stars Arvind Swamy, Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu and Thambi Ramaiah in
important roles. It was shot in places such as the Andaman Islands, Rameswaram
and other coastal areas of Tamil Nadu.
She has signed
her second project Yaan in Tamil to be directed by Ravi. K Chandran. Jeeva is
the lead opposite Thulasi and the shooting is scheduled to start soon.
